First of all let me tell you how excited my baby girl was for her mermaid birthday party. She has been talking about it for almost six months so we have been buying little things here and there to get ready for it. She was very particular with the colors she wanted and so I put my twist on the blue, pink and purple with some irredescent vibes going on to spice things up a bit.

As we were planning I was approached by an amazing company called Noissue to do a custom tissue paper and sticker design of my choice. I was so excited because its nice to have something unique at a party that you know no one else will have or see. I decided to go with an under the sea theme with shells and little phrases so I could use them not only for the party but in wrapping gifts for baby showers and whatnot. I LOVE how they turned out and the quality is amazing. They definitely have me as a customer for life.

The food was really fun to work on too. I made some custom sprinkles in the colors S wanted and then made some really pretty shades of buttercream frosting and just went with it. I bought giant white gumballs for the pearls on the strawberry cupcakes and the cake was a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting in the light sea breeze color. I added mermaid tails and sea animals with the chocolate molds and stuck them wherever I could. I think those were Scarlett’s fave although she couldn’t eat anything but the frosting and sprinkles because of her PKU, she had a great time and plenty to eat of the other treats I bought for her.

I really wish I could have done a little more but being prego about killed me and I was ok with what I did get done over the course of the summer. The best part is, she still isn’t 3  years old! I did it a month early to make sure I had the energy to do it all for her. I just love party planning and I am so glad she loved every minute of it.
