This is what I did with mine. I have the 16×20 rails with the fine art print and I am obsessed with how it turned out.

I was contacted by ParaboPress to choose a little mothers day gift and I immediately knew I wanted to do one of these beautiful prints with the wood rails for my room. When I found this photographer Annie Spratt, I was so excited. Her style is phenominal and I could not be more happy that her pics are free! All Floral images are found here.

I love designing Dear Lizzy collections because she has such fun dreamy style. She loves pink and pretty so when we were designing this collection, we wanted to mix in a bit of magic and call it Serendipity. Our vision was summer/autumn in new york with ice-cream and roses and doing this collection completely using rose gold as the main accent was so much fun. We popped in some trendy stuff like pineapple and marbling which really makes this unique to any other crafting collection out there. Hand marbling a ton of stuff while we were exploring styles was so nice to have some time away from the computer and to do something with our hands. One of my favourite items is the rose gold foil floral alphabet, I have never done something so time consuming but they turned out great and very easy to use. Designing is seriously such a great creative outlet. There is truly a world of possibility when you understand how to mix mediums. All of these items should be available at your local craft store or online here. I have posted some of my favourite patterns here but there are a total of 48 for you to purchase. To see more about the collection go HERE.

So I am now putting this invitation suite in my etsy shop. The files can be made to get gold foil or I can do a white or neutral ink if you want to go the less expensive route. I think the tone of this invitation is very romantique and mysterious and perfect for fall. I wanted it to feel very classical but modern using the splashes of gold foil on top of the floral painting and the modern brushy typography. I picture this wedding being in the gardens of England with fountains and ivy everywhere. The lighting would be very low and the overall look of the wedding is a classic midsummer nights dream. Check out our inspiration shoot in this style here.

There’s nothin like a girls night when you have been working a ton and need something pretty and fun to do. A few talented friends and I decided to do a little pretty party for ourselves and why not invite a photographer along. We wanted to make this night a night full of pretty things and the color palette clearly shows just that. The berry tones with touches of mint made for a springy and rich setting.

We made italian sodas and ate macarons while we caught up on eachothers gossip. With beautiful desserts full of color from Flour & Flourish to the amazing florals that decorated the tables by Amber Reverie, this girls night was a complete success.

Using my home in Utah as our location seemed perfect because of the openness and natural light. We used natural wood furnishings to help off-set the bold color palette and added a fun cowhide rug for texture. With a little help from Target we got the perfect pillows to adorn the sofa finishing the room off.

Dressing up and getting our makeup done by professional makeup artist Sarah Burton prepped us for our B.F.F shots and of course we had to take a “girls night” selfie.

The watercolor floral invitations were designed using a fun die-cut styled envelop and the matching table cards added for a nice detail to the tablescape. To top the night off we made a free print for anyone trying to get ready for their own girls night. Check out the link below!

The idea of having a VW bus in the worlds cutest color makes for an awesome shoot. For the invitation suite, I wanted to do something a little more free and less formal. I did a fun watercolor wash and then some messy calligraphy to add to the organic feel. I wanted to add a bit of texture and detail by using a papercut made from a stencil by American Crafts in the Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection I helped design. Since I don’t scrapbook I thought I would use it in a different way by tracing it onto paper and using an exacto knife to cut out the shapes, it was really easy just very time consuming, I am planning on doing a tutorial soon.

I was so blessed to work with amazing people and it all came together perfectly, I couldn’t be happier with everything.

I love blue, find it has been my favourite color since I was a little girl. I have been seeing a ton of Moroccan inspired design lately so I thought I would make a nice little style board with some great examples of pattern and colour just incase you would like to use it. And the song I posted goes peeerrrfect with it.

This was probably the hardest branding job I have ever done. It was not because of the client, because she was amazing to work with and very creative. I think I just couldn’t quite hit the perfect mix of wedding and edge to make the right logo. We went through a ton of good ones but when we finally got to the last one, I knew it was finally what she wanted. Lizy is a florist who does very elegant and high end weddings. However, her personal style is a bit more edgy and mixing the two really pushed my design skills. I love when this happens because it makes me learn something new. I had to get off the computer and sketch and learn calligraphy as well as perfect my lettering skills. It was so much fun and I am grateful for this project. The color palette is beautiful and moody and brings in a modern element with the copper details. She is just a classy girl, what can say!

When designing for this winter styled shoot, and I wanted to do something that was a challenge for me. I am working on my painting skills and I have never really painted florals so I thought it would be a fun time to practice. I also wanted to do a grungy calligraphy style to offset the soft florals. I chose a dusty blue for the color because of the season and thought it gave it a bit more of a winter feel. If you have been following my blog long enough you know that I am obsessed with music. I love everything about it, viagra they way it makes me feel, recipe the uniqueness of songs and how there is a never ending creativity within them. I love  all types of music because each sound can connect to a memory or mood from the past. I am lucky to have friends in musical places and one of my friends at Skull Candy sent me these beautiful headphones. The packaging is literally to die for, order and they come in a little floral make up bag…seriously. I had to show them off because of their cuteness and I am practicing my photography skills. Such fun design and attention to detail makes these floral beauties so special. Check them out here.
