When designing for this winter styled shoot, and I wanted to do something that was a challenge for me. I am working on my painting skills and I have never really painted florals so I thought it would be a fun time to practice. I also wanted to do a grungy calligraphy style to offset the soft florals. I chose a dusty blue for the color because of the season and thought it gave it a bit more of a winter feel. What I liked about this shoot is that it was totally different than a normal makeup party with glitz and glam. It was moody and slightly grunge with a dark elegance and beautiful color filled desserts. I am literally obsessed with Chantel Marie’s photography style.

I am a little late with this one but I had to share it cause I loooove the songs so much. It has tons of unique artists like London Grammar and Asgier, some of my favs right now. I also love Ellie Gouldings cover of Hanging on, originally by Active Child. My inspiration for the cover I painted was all the beautiful flowers around us. I am so happy that green is finally out of hiding. The snow was killing me and what’s a spring mix without beautiful spring flowers! Roses are so pretty and trying to paint was a fun time. Hope you like.
